The Inter-Agency Service (S.I.A)

1/ Definition of the SIA : A free association of real estate agencies working in the same economic market, sharing their files of exclusive contracts in order to propose a comprehensive offer to clients.

2/ The FNAIM (French National Real Estate Federation) created SIA to respond to the needs coming from its members, professionals who wanted to obtain the tools and methods to work by pooling their resources. The professional mission of the FNAIM organization is to help its members develop their professional activity; SIA was thus created for its members, following the system already in use by many Real Estate Exchanges for 30 years.

3/ A freely adaptable concept. It is the members who create the rules; they are free to organize within the SIA or not, to utilize the tools put at their disposition, to adapt them in function of their specific locales.

4/ It is not a commercial network. There is no system of communication in place, no publicized commercial techniques, no quotas, and no cost for members. SIA must not be considered or used as a commercial brand of a network of agencies, but as a label indicating the adherence of SIA members to the principles of inter-agency cooperation.

5/ The possibility for SIA agencies to accept non-FNAIM real estate agents. In the spirit of openness, of collaboration among professionals accepting a common ethic and business practice, and proposing a vast comprehensive offering, the SIA pools may open their doors, under certain conditions, to non-FNAIM agents.

6/ Furnishing a comprehensive offer and professional training. The aim is to improve the competence and the image of the real estate professionals.
